Running alongside HIS work as an upholsterer, GARY specialisES in hand-dyed leather lining. Here, leather is dyed to customer satisfaction following colour samples. The leather HE useS is a raw plain hide as it is natural and can therefore be used much like a blank canvas. HE can then dye the leather to customer’s requirements matching their requests to a vast array of designs and countless shades of colour. Some of the techniques GARY useS are aging techniques to give the leather an appearance of age and gold-tooling, a highly-skilled craft of putting patterns on the leather. HIS past work is A testament to how each piece is finished to the highest possible standard.
